Gyproc is replacing fuel oil with LNG for the sake of the environment. Plasterboard manufacturer Gyproc AB will reduce its carbon dioxide emissions by 25–30% by replacing fuel oil with LNG during 2013. Sulfur and nitrogen oxide emissions are also reduced. This is a strategic environmental step in achieving improved sustainability.
AGA will supply LNG to Gyproc’s manufacturing unit in Bålsta outside Stockholm.

The first cruise liner operated with LNG is the Vikings Line’s M/S Grace. In January 2013 Viking Line’s eco ship, M/S Viking Grace made its maiden voyage in the Baltic Sea. In connection with the launch, an important environmental step has been taken to reduce sulfur emissions within the marine sector. AGA supplies LNG from the terminal in Nynäshamn and provides the ship with this fuel via a unique fueling solution that takes place from ship-to-ship. This is a pioneering project that is garnering a lot of interest from the marine world and not least from numerous cruise passengers who want to be part of the development towards a cleaner Baltic Sea.
